For me, painting is a mysterious dance, an engagement with ideas and perceptions that aren’t easily put into words.  I’m continuously surprised by what is revealed in the process even when familiar images and icons from my history appear and reappear.  My paintings are ambiguous because I don’t believe in simple answers.  I see them as invitations to step inside, to go deeper and to get comfortable with questions and contradictions.
